Active Infinity Chest Press

Choosing strength machines comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The Active Infinity Chest Press, from Active, is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a strength machine for people who train consistently. Where a measurement matters to you, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

Who this is for

It works best for commercial floors needing guided, repeatable movement, and isolating a muscle group safely under load. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Installation and space

Confirm the footprint and the working envelope. Guided machines need clearance for the movement arm as well as the frame, and that is often overlooked.

What to consider

Look at adjustability — seat, pad and start position. A machine that fits a wide range of body sizes gets used far more.

Against the other 56 strength machines we stock, this sits towards the entry end at R24 817 — the range runs R24 817 to R43 656, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Periodically check that the stack pin and selector move freely — a sticking pin is the most common member complaint.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The specifics

• Brand: Active
• Category: Selectorised Machines
• SKU: T8 001
• Condition: new unless the listing states otherwise

You will find related equipment under Strength, Selectorised Machines, Commercial Strength and Cable Machines — worth a look before deciding.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty strength machines is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
