Active Motion Abductor And Adductor

The Active Motion Abductor And Adductor is one of the strength machines options we supply to gyms and home setups across South Africa, made by Active. Here is what it does and who it suits.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a strength machine for people who train consistently. Where a measurement matters to you, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

Best suited to

It works best for commercial floors needing guided, repeatable movement, and isolating a muscle group safely under load. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Fitting it into your space

Confirm the footprint and the working envelope. Guided machines need clearance for the movement arm as well as the frame, and that is often overlooked.

Points to weigh up

Look at adjustability — seat, pad and start position. A machine that fits a wide range of body sizes gets used far more.

Against the other 56 strength machines we stock, this sits in the middle at R41 295 — the range runs R24 817 to R43 656, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Periodically check that the stack pin and selector move freely — a sticking pin is the most common member complaint.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.
