Active Motion Lower Back Extension

If you are putting together a space that has to work every day rather than look good once, the Active Motion Lower Back Extension is worth a close look. It comes from Active and forms part of our strength machines lineup.

In plain terms, this is a strength machine intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

Who it suits

Think gyms training members who are new to free weights, and commercial floors needing guided, repeatable movement. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Getting it in place

Check the delivery route carefully. Strength machines are heavy and awkward, and access is usually the constraint rather than the room itself.

Before you decide

Cables, pulleys and guide rods are the wear parts. Check they are replaceable and that spares are available locally.

Priced at R41 295, it is the 46th of 56 strength machines we list (R24 817 to R43 656). Worth comparing before you settle.

Keep guide rods clean and lightly lubricated, and check cables for fraying on a schedule. Cable failure under load is the risk worth preventing.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Key points

• Brand: Active
• Category: Selectorised Machines
• SKU: MOT 009
• Condition: new unless the listing states otherwise

You will find related equipment under Strength, Selectorised Machines, Commercial Strength and Cable Machines — worth a look before deciding.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty strength machines is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
