Active Wide Chest Press

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the Active Wide Chest Press is that piece, and Active built it for the job.

In plain terms, this is a piece of gym equipment intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

A good fit for

Think home gyms and commercial facilities across South Africa. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Setup notes

Check the floor is level and suitable for the load, and leave working clearance around the equipment.

Worth thinking about

Check what is included in the box, and whether accessories are needed to get it working the way you want.

Priced at R24 387, it is the 84th of 267 gym equipment we list (R401 to R163 098). Worth comparing before you settle.

Keep it clean and check fixings periodically. Most equipment failures start as something loose rather than something broken.

For the underlying evidence rather than a summary, the WHO guidelines on physical activity and sedentary behaviour sets out the current recommendations.

Details worth knowing

• Brand: Active
• Category: Strength
• SKU: XA 05
• Condition: new unless the listing states otherwise

Browsing options? Strength, Accessories, Free Weights and Cardio are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

Every order ships free anywhere in South Africa. For heavier pieces we confirm access and offloading before dispatch — worth flagging stairs or tight corners at the time of order rather than on the day.

Happy to help you compare the Active Wide Chest Press against the alternatives, or check it will go through your door. Just ask.
