ANYFIT-Olympic Flat Bench

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the ANYFIT-Olympic Flat Bench is that piece, and Anyfit built it for the job.

In plain terms, this is a bench intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

A good fit for

Think garage gyms building around a rack, and pressing, rowing and accessory work at home or in a facility. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Setup notes

Confirm the pad height against your rack J-hooks. A mismatch there changes the press position and is awkward to work around later.

Worth thinking about

If the bench adjusts, check how easily the ladder or pop-pin moves under load, and how many positions it actually offers between flat and upright.

Priced at R16 915, it is the 98th of 108 benches we list (R1 996 to R29 929). Worth comparing before you settle.

Wipe the upholstery down after sessions. Sweat is what degrades vinyl, and a torn pad is the usual reason a bench gets replaced before its frame is worn.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Browsing options? Strength, Benches, Accessories and Racks And Cages are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.
