Athletic Prestige – Vertical Press

If you are putting together a space that has to work every day rather than look good once, the Athletic Prestige – Vertical Press is worth a close look. It comes from Athletic and forms part of our gym equipment lineup.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a piece of gym equipment for people who train consistently. Where a measurement matters to you, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

Who it suits

It works best for training spaces that get daily use. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Getting it in place

Measure the space and the route in before ordering. Doorways, corners and stairs are what turn a straightforward delivery into a problem.

Before you decide

Think about who will use it and their size range. Adjustability decides how many people find it comfortable.

Against the other 267 gym equipment we stock, this sits in the middle at R32 287 — the range runs R401 to R163 098, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Store or cover it if the space is damp, particularly for anything with a steel frame.

For what regular training actually does for you long term, the NHS summary of the health benefits of exercise covers the evidence plainly.

Key points

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty gym equipment is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
