Athletic Stair Climber

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the Athletic Stair Climber is that piece, and Athletic built it for the job.

What you are getting is a stepper designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

A good fit for

This one suits high-intensity interval work, and gyms wanting a cardio option that is not another treadmill. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Setup notes

Plan where it will live before it arrives — moving equipment after the fact is harder than it sounds.

Worth thinking about

Match the specification to how often it will actually be used. Home and commercial duty ratings are genuinely different things.

We stock 13 steppers between R1 341 and R137 065; this one is in the middle at R71 920.

Wipe surfaces down after use — sweat is corrosive and is what shortens the life of most gym equipment.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty steppers is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
