CPU Barbell (curved) (45kg)

Choosing barbells comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The CPU Barbell (curved) (45kg) is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

What you are getting is a barbell designed to be used properly and often. It is listed with 45kg.

Who this is for

This one suits lifters who want a bar that holds up under load, and home platforms and commercial floors. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Installation and space

Store bars horizontally on a rack or vertically in a holder; leaning them against a wall bends them over time.

What to consider

Knurling and whip decide how the bar feels. Aggressive knurl suits pulling, a moderate knurl is more comfortable for high-rep work.

We stock 68 barbells between R238 and R8 599; this one is in the middle at R5 418.

A light oil on the shaft prevents rust in humid conditions, which matters in coastal areas.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty barbells is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
