Fixed Straight & EZ Curl Barbell Set + Rack

Good training equipment earns its floor space, and the Fixed Straight & EZ Curl Barbell Set + Rack is built to do exactly that. Made by Force Fitness, it sits in our racks range for South African home gyms, studios and commercial floors.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a rack for people who train consistently. Stated details include supplied as a set.

Ideal for

It works best for squatting and pressing safely without a spotter, and commercial floors running multiple lifters. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Before you install it

Measure ceiling height before anything else. Racks and rigs need clearance for overhead pressing and pull-ups, and that is usually the binding constraint rather than floor space.

Choosing the right one

Think about attachments now rather than later. Whether a rack takes standard accessories decides how far it can grow with your training.

Against the other 53 racks we stock, this sits at the upper end at R36 464 — the range runs R40 to R36 464, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

A platform or matting under the rack protects the floor and reduces noise considerably.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.
