If you are putting together a space that has to work every day rather than look good once, the Rubber Hex Dumbbell Upright Set (2.5kg - 15kg) - 6 Sets is worth a close look. It comes from Force Fitness and forms part of our racks lineup.

What you are getting is a rack designed to be used properly and often. It is listed with 2.5kg, rubber construction and supplied as a set.

Who it suits

This one suits commercial floors running multiple lifters, and garage gyms built around one central station. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Getting it in place

Leave working room on all sides. Loading plates, racking a bar and stepping out of a squat all need more space than the frame suggests.

Before you decide

Check the upright gauge and hole spacing. Westside spacing through the pressing range gives finer adjustment where it matters most.

We stock 118 racks between R70 and R90 612; this one is in the middle at R12 638.

Keep J-hook liners intact — they protect both the bar knurling and the rack finish.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.
