Round Urethane Dumbbell Set 2.5kg - 50kg (20 Sets)

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the Round Urethane Dumbbell Set 2.5kg - 50kg (20 Sets) is that piece.

A good fit for

It works best for pressing, rowing and accessory work across every level, and studios running class formats. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Setup notes

Think about storage before quantity. Loose dumbbells on a floor are a hazard and take more space than a rack holding the same set.

Worth thinking about

Hex dumbbells sit flat and will not roll, which matters for push-up variations and for storage.

Against the other 118 dumbbells we stock, this sits in the middle at R53 795 — the range runs R70 to R90 612, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Store heaviest at the bottom of a rack. It is safer and easier on the frame.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty dumbbells is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
