Abdominal Sit Up Bench Ab20

If you are putting together a space that has to work every day rather than look good once, the Abdominal Sit Up Bench Ab20 is worth a close look. It comes from Tunturi and forms part of our benches lineup.

In plain terms, this is a bench intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

Who it suits

Think garage gyms building around a rack, and pressing, rowing and accessory work at home or in a facility. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Getting it in place

Confirm the pad height against your rack J-hooks. A mismatch there changes the press position and is awkward to work around later.

Before you decide

If the bench adjusts, check how easily the ladder or pop-pin moves under load, and how many positions it actually offers between flat and upright.

Priced at R2 470, it is the 6th of 20 benches we list (R796 to R24 601). Worth comparing before you settle.

Wipe the upholstery down after sessions. Sweat is what degrades vinyl, and a torn pad is the usual reason a bench gets replaced before its frame is worn.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.
