Competence F40 Upright Exercise Bike - Zwift

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the Competence F40 Upright Exercise Bike - Zwift is that piece, and Vendor-Unknown built it for the job.

What you are getting is a treadmill designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

A good fit for

This one suits runners training indoors through winter, and studios and hotel gyms running long daily hours. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Setup notes

Plan the position around ventilation and noise. A treadmill against a shared wall carries more than owners expect, and heat build-up shortens motor life.

Worth thinking about

Motor rating and deck size are what separate a machine that lasts from one that does not. Walking, jogging and running each ask something different, so match the specification to the fastest use it will actually see.

We stock 81 treadmills between R796 and R161 777; this one is in the middle at R12 638.

Lubrication and belt tension are the two maintenance jobs that matter. Both are quick and both extend the life of the deck considerably.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty treadmills is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
