Platinum Dual Leg Extension / Curl- Selectorized

The Platinum Dual Leg Extension / Curl- Selectorized is one of the strength machines options we supply to gyms and home setups across South Africa, made by Tunturi. Here is what it does and who it suits.

What you are getting is a strength machine designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

Best suited to

This one suits isolating a muscle group safely under load, and gyms training members who are new to free weights. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Fitting it into your space

Plan the position with traffic flow in mind. Members should be able to reach the machine without crossing a lifting area.

Points to weigh up

Match the weight stack to who will use it. A stack that tops out too low limits stronger members; one that starts too high excludes beginners.

We stock 210 strength machines between R1 120 and R49 665; this one is in the middle at R31 281.

Upholstery and grips wear first on commercial floors. Both are usually replaceable without changing the machine.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Browsing options? Strength, Lower Body Machines, Commercial Strength and Cable Machines are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.
