Rubber Dumbbells Set (12-20 KG)

Choosing dumbbells comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The Rubber Dumbbells Set (12-20 KG), from Tunturi, is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

What you are getting is a dumbbell set designed to be used properly and often. It is listed with 12kg to 20kg, rubber construction and supplied as a set.

Who this is for

This one suits studios running class formats, and home gyms building a usable weight range. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Installation and space

If space is tight, compare a fixed set against adjustable dumbbells — the footprint difference is substantial.

What to consider

Decide the weight range from the lifts you actually do. Pressing and rowing need heavier pairs; accessory and rehab work needs lighter increments.

We stock 118 dumbbells between R70 and R90 612; this one is in the middle at R12 638.

Wipe handles down regularly — sweat is what corrodes knurling and shortens grip life.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty dumbbells is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
