Horizon Home Gym Torus 5

The Horizon Home Gym Torus 5 is one of the cable machines options we supply to gyms and home setups across South Africa, made by Horizon Fitness. Here is what it does and who it suits.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a cable machine for people who train consistently. Where a measurement matters to you, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

Best suited to

It works best for varied resistance work in one footprint, and home gyms replacing several single-purpose machines. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Fitting it into your space

Measure the space and the route in before ordering. Doorways, corners and stairs are what turn a straightforward delivery into a problem.

Points to weigh up

Think about who will use it and their size range. Adjustability decides how many people find it comfortable.

Against the other 6 cable machines we stock, this sits in the middle at R29 196 — the range runs R6 308 to R110 844, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Store or cover it if the space is damp, particularly for anything with a steel frame.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Browsing options? Strength, Multi Gyms, Functional Trainers and Attachments are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

Happy to help you compare the Horizon Home Gym Torus 5 against the alternatives, or check it will go through your door. Just ask.
