Impulse Fitness Upright Bike Ru970

Good training equipment earns its floor space, and the Impulse Fitness Upright Bike Ru970 is built to do exactly that. Made by Impulse Fitness, it sits in our exercise bikes range for South African home gyms, studios and commercial floors.

What you are getting is a exercise bike designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

Ideal for

This one suits low-impact cardio in a small footprint, and home riders training year round. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Before you install it

Plan for power only if the console needs it — many spin bikes are entirely self-powered.

Choosing the right one

Flywheel weight and resistance type set the ride feel. Heavier flywheels give a smoother, more road-like feel; magnetic resistance runs quieter than friction.

We stock 44 exercise bikes between R689 and R47 740; this one is at the upper end at R43 120.

Check pedal and crank tightness periodically, and confirm the pedal type suits your shoes.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty exercise bikes is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.

Delivery across South Africa is included on every order. Larger items are booked in rather than left at a door, so tell us about stairs, narrow passages or a restricted loading area when you order and we will arrange transport that suits the site.

Questions about fit, access or compatibility with what you already own? Contact us before ordering and we will confirm it properly.
