Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the Impulse Hz7002 Hi-Low Pulley Station is that piece, and Impulse Fitness built it for the job.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a cable machine for people who train consistently. Where a measurement matters to you, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

A good fit for

It works best for varied resistance work in one footprint, and home gyms replacing several single-purpose machines. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Setup notes

Measure the space and the route in before ordering. Doorways, corners and stairs are what turn a straightforward delivery into a problem.

Worth thinking about

Think about who will use it and their size range. Adjustability decides how many people find it comfortable.

Against the other 49 cable machines we stock, this sits in the middle at R19 382 — the range runs R156 to R82 764, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Store or cover it if the space is damp, particularly for anything with a steel frame.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Details worth knowing

  • Brand: Impulse Fitness
  • Category: Functional Trainers
  • SKU: HZ7002
  • Condition: new unless the listing states otherwise

Browsing options? Strength, Free Weights, Weight Plates and Functional Trainers are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

Happy to help you compare the Impulse Hz7002 Hi-Low Pulley Station against the alternatives, or check it will go through your door. Just ask.
