Impulse Ifob Olympic Bench Press

Choosing benches comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The Impulse Ifob Olympic Bench Press, from Impulse Fitness, is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

What you are getting is a bench designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

Who this is for

This one suits commercial floors needing benches that survive daily use, and garage gyms building around a rack. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Installation and space

Allow space to move the bench in and out if it is shared between a rack and a dumbbell area.

What to consider

Pad width and firmness matter more than they sound. Too soft and you lose stability under load; too narrow and shoulder position suffers on heavy presses.

We stock 210 benches between R1 120 and R49 665; this one is in the middle at R7 296.

Check the fixings periodically. Adjustable benches work loose over time and a few minutes with a spanner keeps everything solid.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty benches is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
