Impulse It7012 Dumbbell Rack

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the Impulse It7012 Dumbbell Rack is that piece, and Impulse Fitness built it for the job.

In plain terms, this is a rack intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

A good fit for

Think garage gyms built around one central station, and squatting and pressing safely without a spotter. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Setup notes

Confirm whether the unit needs bolting down. Free-standing racks depend on their footprint and weight for stability; bolted rigs need a suitable floor.

Worth thinking about

Safety arms or straps are not optional if you train alone. Confirm what is included rather than assuming.

Priced at R11 513, it is the 104th of 118 racks we list (R70 to R90 612). Worth comparing before you settle.

Check bolts and fixings periodically, particularly after the first few weeks of use as everything settles.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Details worth knowing

If you are planning a full setup, Free Weights, Dumbbells, Storage Racks and Benches are the sections that usually go with this.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

If you want the Impulse It7012 Dumbbell Rack checked against your setup before you commit, get in touch. We would rather spend five minutes on measurements than arrange a return.
