Impulse Zone Stair 2

If you are putting together a space that has to work every day rather than look good once, the Impulse Zone Stair 2 is worth a close look. It comes from Impulse Fitness and forms part of our steppers lineup.

What you are getting is a stepper designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

Who it suits

This one suits high-intensity interval work, and gyms wanting a cardio option that is not another treadmill. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Getting it in place

Plan where it will live before it arrives — moving equipment after the fact is harder than it sounds.

Before you decide

Match the specification to how often it will actually be used. Home and commercial duty ratings are genuinely different things.

We stock 8 steppers between R3 796 and R93 596; this one is towards the entry end at R4 332.

Wipe surfaces down after use — sweat is corrosive and is what shortens the life of most gym equipment.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Key points

• Brand: Impulse Fitness
• Category: Stair Climbers
• SKU: IZ7008
• Condition: new unless the listing states otherwise

Browsing options? Cardio, Stair Climbers, Treadmills and Hiit are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

Happy to help you compare the Impulse Zone Stair 2 against the alternatives, or check it will go through your door. Just ask.
