LivePro Competiton Olympic Bar [20kg]

The LivePro Competiton Olympic Bar [20kg] is one of the barbells options we supply to gyms and home setups across South Africa, made by LivePro. Here is what it does and who it suits.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a barbell for people who train consistently. Stated details include 20kg.

Best suited to

It works best for barbell work across squats, presses and pulls, and lifters who want a bar that holds up under load. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Fitting it into your space

Confirm the bar length fits between your rack uprights, and that the sleeves clear the J-hooks.

Points to weigh up

Check the load rating against your working weights, with headroom. A bar rated close to your top set will not last.

Against the other 53 barbells we stock, this sits in the middle at R4 560 — the range runs R40 to R36 464, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Check sleeve rotation occasionally; a sticking sleeve puts strain on wrists during cleans.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

If you are planning a full setup, Sale, Free Weights, Barbells and Weight Plates are the sections that usually go with this.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

If you want the LivePro Competiton Olympic Bar [20kg] checked against your setup before you commit, get in touch. We would rather spend five minutes on measurements than arrange a return.
