LivePro Texas Deadlift Bar 27mm X 2300mm

Choosing barbells comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The LivePro Texas Deadlift Bar 27mm X 2300mm, from LivePro, is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a barbell for people who train consistently. Stated details include 27mm.

Who this is for

It works best for barbell work across squats, presses and pulls, and lifters who want a bar that holds up under load. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Installation and space

Confirm the bar length fits between your rack uprights, and that the sleeves clear the J-hooks.

What to consider

Check the load rating against your working weights, with headroom. A bar rated close to your top set will not last.

Against the other 53 barbells we stock, this sits in the middle at R4 362 — the range runs R40 to R36 464, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Check sleeve rotation occasionally; a sticking sleeve puts strain on wrists during cleans.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty barbells is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
