LivePro Yoga Mat

Choosing gym flooring comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The LivePro Yoga Mat, from LivePro, is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

In plain terms, this is a gym flooring intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

Who this is for

Think garage and spare-room conversions, and protecting a floor under heavy equipment. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Installation and space

Check subfloor condition first. Rubber tiles follow the surface underneath, so an uneven floor stays uneven.

What to consider

Consider smell and off-gassing in an enclosed room — rubber needs ventilation initially.

Priced at R451, it is the 2nd of 5 gym flooring we list (R180 to R1 485). Worth comparing before you settle.

Sweep and damp-mop rather than soaking. Water under tiles is what causes lifting and odour.

If staff will be moving this regularly, the HSE's guide to manual handling at work is worth reading first.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty gym flooring is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
