Professional Elliptical 1700EP

If you are putting together a space that has to work every day rather than look good once, the Professional Elliptical 1700EP is worth a close look. It forms part of our elliptical trainers lineup.

Stripped of marketing language: this is a elliptical trainer for people who train consistently. Where a measurement matters to you, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

Who it suits

It works best for low-impact cardio for joints that will not take running, and rehab and steady-state work. Outside that, there may be a better match in the range — ask us.

Getting it in place

Measure the space and the route in before ordering. Doorways, corners and stairs are what turn a straightforward delivery into a problem.

Before you decide

Think about who will use it and their size range. Adjustability decides how many people find it comfortable.

Against the other 21 elliptical trainers we stock, this sits in the middle at R16 915 — the range runs R4 214 to R118 818, so there is room to move either way if the fit is not right.

Store or cover it if the space is damp, particularly for anything with a steel frame.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Key points

• SKU: 2960
• Condition: new unless the listing states otherwise

You will find related equipment under Cardio, Ellipticals, Treadmills and Gym Flooring — worth a look before deciding.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty elliptical trainers is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
