UBench Row

The UBench Row is one of the rowing machines options we supply to gyms and home setups across South Africa, made by UBench. Here is what it does and who it suits.

What you are getting is a rowing machine designed to be used properly and often. The images and title carry the detail we publish for this unit.

Best suited to

This one suits anyone wanting low-impact cardio that still works the whole body, and studios running class-based sessions. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Fitting it into your space

Leave clearance behind the flywheel for airflow on air rowers.

Points to weigh up

Resistance type shapes the experience — air responds to how hard you pull, magnetic stays consistent and quiet, water gives a distinctive feel and sound.

We stock 57 rowing machines between R238 and R118 818; this one is in the middle at R40 587.

Check the chain or strap tension periodically, and keep the flywheel housing free of dust.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Browsing options? Sale, Cardio, Rowing Machines and Exercise Bikes are the categories most people compare this against.

Commercial and home equipment differ mainly in duty cycle — how many hours a day the frame, bearings and upholstery are designed to take. Equipment built for occasional use will usually survive a home routine comfortably but will not last on a busy floor, and the difference shows in the parts you cannot see rather than the finish.

Every order ships free anywhere in South Africa. For heavier pieces we confirm access and offloading before dispatch — worth flagging stairs or tight corners at the time of order rather than on the day.

Happy to help you compare the UBench Row against the alternatives, or check it will go through your door. Just ask.
