UBench Seated Row

Choosing rowing machines comes down to matching the equipment to how hard it will actually be worked. The UBench Seated Row, from UBench, is aimed at people who want something that holds up.

In plain terms, this is a rowing machine intended for regular use rather than occasional. Full specifications are shown on this page and in the product images.

Who this is for

Think studios running class-based sessions, and full-body conditioning at home. Those are the situations where this piece makes the most sense.

Installation and space

Confirm the floor is level. A rower on an uneven surface feels unstable through the drive.

What to consider

Look at the monitor. Split, stroke rate and distance are what make training measurable.

Priced at R32 287, it is the 44th of 57 rowing machines we list (R238 to R118 818). Worth comparing before you settle.

Keep the rail and seat rollers clean. Grit on the rail is what wears seat wheels and causes rough travel.

On how much cardio is actually worth aiming for each week, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty rowing machines is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.

Delivery across South Africa is included on every order. Larger items are booked in rather than left at a door, so tell us about stairs, narrow passages or a restricted loading area when you order and we will arrange transport that suits the site.

Not certain the UBench Seated Row is right for your space? Send us your room dimensions or a photo and we will tell you honestly whether it fits — including if something else in the range would serve you better.
