UBench Slam Ball 30kg

Every gym has a piece of kit that quietly does most of the work. For a lot of setups the UBench Slam Ball 30kg is that piece, and UBench built it for the job.

What you are getting is a bench designed to be used properly and often. It is listed with 30kg.

A good fit for

This one suits commercial floors needing benches that survive daily use, and garage gyms building around a rack. If that describes your setup, it will earn its place.

Setup notes

Allow space to move the bench in and out if it is shared between a rack and a dumbbell area.

Worth thinking about

Pad width and firmness matter more than they sound. Too soft and you lose stability under load; too narrow and shoulder position suffers on heavy presses.

We stock 42 benches between R205 and R4 214; this one is in the middle at R1 800.

Check the fixings periodically. Adjustable benches work loose over time and a few minutes with a spanner keeps everything solid.

For context on how often adults should be training muscle groups, the World Health Organization physical activity guidelines are a sensible, independent starting point.

Details worth knowing

The practical gap between light and heavy-duty benches is not the badge, it is the rating: frame gauge, bearing quality and how easily wear parts can be replaced. Buying slightly above your current needs is almost always cheaper than replacing early.
